  • The DSi rocks!

So right now I'm blogging using my Nintendo DSi via the DSi Browser, which you can download from the online shop for free.

Can I say how neat this little gadget is? The day I bought it (which was the day it came out, no doubt) I spent a good chunk of battery life toying with the things you can do without even inserting a game cartridge, namely taking photos with the different lenses/effects (colorpad is my personal favorite) and then editing them even further, and also playing with the sound recorder and having fun adjusting playback, sound effects, and all that jazz. Right now I'm "training myself" to speak backwards and see if it comes out coherent with reverse playback. I still haven't mastered being able to say my own name yet - too many syllables. :)

When I get some more free time I'm definitely going to get an SD card so I can put some of my music up ons, and maybe I'll even upload some of my photos up here - I've taken some really good ones so far.

I'm really looking forward to upcoming DSiWare releases for download, because unfortunately right now pickings are slim. The only other title I downloaded besides the browser was WarioWare Snapped, which gets a little old fast, but still really shows off what the DSi camera is capable of. Good times for sure.

Anyone else out there with a DSi? What do you think are the best features? Any games or DSiWare titles you're looking forward to?

I have the old school DS because I got it right when it came out as a gift from a friend so I never upgraded. I was thinking of upgrading to DSi but then I realised it can't play Gameboy Advance games, so I was hesitant. I haven't gotten it yet, but I am definitely considering it now!!

@XfantomcatX@xanga - I kind of do feel that the lack of GBA play is a downgrade of the DSi, but I didn't really play that many GBA games to begin with on my regular DS.  Definitely something to consider though if you're thinking about taking the plunge. :)

like fantomcat, I to have a DS and am not quite ready to make the switch. Mainly because I do have a lot of gameboy advance games and do play them with my DS. I also don't have a Game Boy Advance.

I think I'm going to wait on splurging on a DSi, untill something comes out for it that i cannot resist.

@thelegendofchrono - it looks like the DSiWare is the wild card right now, but so far it's nothing to really shake a stick at. You probably are better off waiting.
